Terms and Conditions of Sale – Crystal Star Gems & Jewellery
The prices quoted throughout our online store include standard UK VAT where appropriate. We reservice the right to change our prices at any time. There may be occasions where prices are incorrectly quoted or changed at short notice as a result of circumstances beyond our control. If this situaiton occurs you will be informed of the correct price by email as soon as possible and should you not wish to proceed, that part of your order will be cancelled.
If you are unsure of your sizing for any particular item please contact the seller for advice and guidance.
If you are not happy with the final fit, it may be possible to alter, which may or may not incur an additional fee. Please contact the seller BEFORE returning the item for advice. Please follow the instructions below for returning your purchase to us. Alterations take 10-14 working days from when we receive them. Terms of Postage AND COSTS OF POSTAGE ON RETURN TO US REMAIN THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER.

We reserve the right to change jewellery and designs from time to time. We will bring any changes to your attention when replying to a product enquiry or placing an order.
Crystal Star Gems reserve the right to withdraw goods from sale at any time. All purchases are subject to our website details being correct. Crystal Star Gems reserves the right not to sell any item and in these circumstances a full refund will be given.
All Delivery times are approximate and Crystal Star Gems cannot be responsible for any delay due to manufacturing or any other circumstances. If we know of any delay we will notify you straight away via email.
Value Added Tax
VAT is added at the current UK rate, except where goods are zero rated for tax purposes. All quoted prices on the online shop are inclusive of VAT, where applicable.
Your physical goods (for example jewellery or beads) will be delivered using either Royal Mail or a specialist carrier. Delivery charges are shown when you place an order.
We dispatch goods on the same day if the order is received before 12.00 hrs Monday to Friday. Delays may be experienced during certain times of the year and if this is the case we will contact you as soon as possible via email. Deliveries to remote areas of the country may take longer to deliver than the times specified. Some items are made to order and the lead in times for these will be given when placing your order.
Please see the main website for details of current delivery charges and times for different areas of the UK. Any orders over 2kg in weight being shipped outside the UK may be subject to an extra postage charge, Crystal Star Gems will contact you, and a price for that delivery can be given. All deliveries will need a signature on receipt and if there is no one present to receive the delivery a card will be left. You may specify an alternative delivery address at the time of order if you choose.
Your right of cancellation
If you have simply changed your mind about any item ordered and you wish to return it, then in line with the Distance Selling Regulations (DSR) you can do so provided you inform us of your decision with 10 days of receipt. The item must not be used and must be ‘as new’ and in the original packaging when returned to us. Once you’ve informed us that you wish to return goods under the DSR, you have 28 calendar days to do so, at your own expense. Once the item is received at Crystal Star Gems & Jewellery, we will issue a full refund for the product to your original payment method. Please note this policy has some limitations and does not apply to business customers.
A refund will not be given once a PDF file has been sent.
To exercise your right of cancellation, you must given written notice to Crystal Star Gems & Jewellery by hand, post, email, giving details of the goods ordered and (where appropriate) their delivery. Notification by phone is not sufficient.
Except in the case of faulty or misdescribed goods, if you exercise your right of cancellation after the goods have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for the returning the goods to Crystal Star Gems & Jewellery at your own cost. The goods must be returned to Crystal Star Gems & Jewellery, 17 Henson Close, Washington, Tyne and Wear, NE38 7RL. You must take reasonable care to ensure the goods are not damaged in the meantime or in transit. In the case of faulty or misdescribed goods Crystal Star Gems & Jewellery shall reimburse any reasonable postage costs incurred by the customer. Once you have notified Crystal Star Gems & Jewellery that you are cancelling the order, Crystal Star Gems & Jewellery will refund or re-credit you with 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods. Except in the case of faulty or misdescribed goods, if you do not return the goods as required, Crystal Star Gems & Jewellery may charge you a sum not exceeding the direct costs of recovering the goods.
When placing an order, the address given must be the same as that registered with your credit card company. To process your order more efficiently, we also request a land line telephone number (not a mobile) to be used in case of query.
